Overview
Our client is an innovative, employee-owned consulting engineering business. Their team of more than 900 highly skilled people, in 15 offices across the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Middle East, design and deliver engineering solutions for clients in the Property, Transport, Ports and Marine, Water, Renewables and Defence sectors. We collaborate with leading contractors, developers, architects, planners, financiers and government agencies, to create projects that make a difference to people’s lives.
They are looking for Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a strong geotechnical design track record to form a key part of an expanding geotechnical team. Working with the Geotechnics Lead to support and grow the team, you will collaborate with the other office disciplines of structural, civil, infrastructure and bridge engineering as well as independent geotechnical consultancy.
As such, the nature and type of work will be varied, ranging from the design of foundations and earth structures for temporary works through to the integrated design of deep basements and foundation solutions for tall buildings. Whilst the majority is UK-based, as an international practice often work is in other geographies, so some knowledge and background of more global contexts would be welcome.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to progress and develop within a collaborative, innovative and genuinely supportive environment, and in a role where you won’t be boxed into a narrow technical lane. One where you can develop commercially as well as technically, have influence over design approaches and project strategy, and with a clear route to seniority and leadership.
