Our client is a reputable, award‑winning engineering consultancy offering comprehensive services in civil, structural, environmental, and geotechnical engineering nationwide. They are now looking for a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes within this supportive and talented team. The role is ideal for an individual who has a background in project management, is confident in technical report writing, and enjoys mentoring junior engineers.

The Role
  • Leading and managing geo environmental projects from proposal to completion
  • Producing high quality technical reports, including ground investigation reports, remediation strategies, earthworks specifications and validation reports
  • Overseeing ground investigations and environmental monitoring
  • Coordinating project teams and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget
  • Providing guidance, support and mentoring to junior team members
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated engineering solutions
  • Maintaining excellent communication with clients, regulators and stakeholders
 
Requirements
  • Degree in geology, earth sciences, environmental engineering or similar (2:1 or above)
  • Strong background in geo environmental engineering, including ground investigation and contaminated land assessment
  • Proven ability to produce clear, accurate and technically robust reports
  • Confident project manager with strong organisational and communication skills
  • A collaborative problem solver who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Commitment to high quality record keeping, analytical thinking and technical excellence
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing junior engineers
  • Ambition to progress toward chartership (support provided)
  • Full UK Driving licence
