Regional Manager - Ground Investigation: Excellent opportunity at a leading, Large Ground Investigation Company. This role is based in Coventry.

Overview

Our client is a well-established industry leader operating across the UK, specialising in ground investigation and geotechnical services. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and a collaborative working culture, they support a wide range of infrastructure, construction, and environmental projects.
 
They are now seeking to fill the position of Region Manager to help to grow their operation in the Midlands. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and knowledgeable engineer to take the next step in their career in a leadership role promoting technical excellence and innovation while supporting the delivery of major UK projects.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage office P&L and ensure financial targets are met
  • Lead and develop a growing team, supporting training and career progression
  • Oversee project tendering, preparation, and data collection
  • Review and issue technical reports, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and mentor junior staff
  • Use software such as Holebase, Microsoft Office, and internal systems (training provided)
  • Liaise with clients, manage queries, and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Provide monthly performance updates to senior leadership
 
Requirements
  • BSc in Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field (MSc preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ background in ground investigation
  • Strong understanding of UK soil and rock strata, GI methods, and lab testing
  • Proficient in logging to BS 5930:2015 standards
  • Background with geotechnical software (Holebase, gINT, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, project management, and report-writing skills
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
