Their collaborative and innovative engineering team in London seeks to provide integrated solutions incorporating state of the art design. They are looking for a Principal Structural Engineer with strong design background to assist in the design and management structural engineering works associated with a wide variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sector.
Responsibilities

Assist in the design and management of structural engineering works for major and complex infrastructure projects in both private and public sectors.

Contribute to strengthening design and delivery capacity across a broad range of projects.

Manage the design process from concept through to delivery, ensuring compliance with client requirements.

Lead and manage small teams to achieve project objectives.

Act as the main point of contact for clients, taking individual responsibility for a variety of project types.

Oversee projects ranging from significant estate portfolios to smaller individual developments, including both new-build and refurbishment.

Work across multiple sectors such as healthcare, education, defence & security, commercial, and science & technology.

Prepare designs, specifications, technical approval submissions, and supervise works on-site.

Ensure full compliance with industry design standards and best practices.

Collaborate with senior management on research projects and innovative initiatives.

Opportunity to manage coordination with other design disciplines when required.
Requirements
-
Be a chartered civil or structural engineer (CEng and either MICE or MIStructE).

Have good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time.

Be confident working directly with clients, other design professionals, and contractors.

Have strong experience and bring a sound knowledge and understanding of structural engineering projects through your proven experience. You can demonstrate your abilities in producing drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.

Have technical knowledge including use of industry-standard software (ideally Tekla/Robot) and basic ability with Revit.

Have sound experience of commercial management of projects and change control.

Be committed to encouraging good health and safety practices within the workplace and within design.

Display enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility as a team player.

Be able to mentor, enthuse and support team members.

Have a desire to build upon your existing experience, continuing your professional development with the company

Hold a full UK Driving Licence.

Have the ability to obtain UK security clearance.
