Excellent opportunity at a vibrant, SME Ground Investigation Contractor who are looking fill the position of Ground Investigation Site Engineer. This role is based out of Milton Keynes.

Overview

Our client is a busy, well-established national site investigation and geotechnical services company with many years’ experience within the industry.
 
They are looking for a self-motivated Geotechnical Site Engineer with a proven, relevant background to join their ground investigation team based out of Milton Keynes.
 
Most contracts are nationwide and railway based so you should therefore expect to travel and work varying shifts—night and weekend when required. In addition, a background working in high-risk environments would be beneficial as would PTS certification and other industry competencies.
 
This role would suit an engineer who enjoys being busy and has the ability to deal with and communicate with people on all levels. And, alongside a competitive salary, our client offers excellent training, usual benefits and the opportunity to grow within a niche, family feel company.
 
 

Responsibilities

  • Project supervision
  • Onsite project management / post field work report writing (Factual)
  • Lead and manage site investigations
  • Soil & rock logging
  • Use of HOLEBASE
 

Requirements

  • A degree in Applied Geology (or other geology related degree)
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry background
  • CSCS and PTS certification (desirable - training can be provided)
  • Flexible attitude to work, be motivated & willingness to learn essential.
  • Have excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Full clean driving licence
