They are now seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to provide management, oversight and delivery of projects for maximal effectiveness and profitability, maintaining technical quality, professionalism and completing all design activities successfully.
 
You should be able to foster and maintain excellent working relationships and rapport with co-workers and clients; be a self-starter with the ability to project a proactive and motivated attitude; and a leader with the ability to work under pressure and handle a varied workload whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion
  • Provide technical oversight on complex schemes, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions
  • Manage client relationships and represent the business at meetings and presentations
  • Oversee project budgets, programmes and commercial performance
  • Mentor and develop engineers and technicians within the team
  • Support business development activities, bids and proposals
  • Contribute to strategic growth plans and team expansion
 
 
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE preferred)
  • Proven track record within an engineering design consultancy (minimum 6yrs) delivering structural projects across a range of sectors (*track record working on data centre projects is essential)
  • Strong knowledge of UK design standards and regulations
  • Commercial awareness and background managing project finances
  • Confident communicator with leadership ambition
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, ETABS, Robot, Revit)
